What is the Hot Glass Experience?
The Hot Glass Experience is an opportunity to make your own blown glass piece in a working glass studio. With guidance from the studio, guests participate in the process of working with molten glass, choosing color, and creating a finished object of their own.
No prior glassblowing experience is needed.
What can I make?
Current project options may include drinking glasses, bowls, vases, pumpkins, and paperweights. Offerings may vary by season, schedule, and studio availability.
Everyone in a group does not need to make the same item.
Do I get to keep what I make?
Yes. Each participant keeps the piece they make.
Finished glass needs to cool slowly overnight in the annealer, so it is not available to take home the same day. Pieces can be picked up later or shipped by arrangement.
Can I come alone, or do I need a group?
Individuals, couples, families, and small groups are welcome when experience dates are available. Some offerings may be scheduled as specific event dates, while others may be arranged by inquiry depending on the studio schedule.
Do you sell gift certificates?
HGAC is not currently selling new gift certificates while our hands-on offerings are scheduled periodically.
Existing gift certificates may still be redeemed toward available glassblowing experiences or toward the purchase of glasswork. Please contact the studio directly to discuss redemption options.
Yes. HGAC creates custom memorial glass using a small portion of a loved one’s ashes. Memorial pieces can be personalized by object type and color.

In some cases, guests may be able to participate in the creation of a memorial glass piece. This is arranged by request and depends on the object, timing, and studio availability.

Do you make memorial glass? Can I take part in the process?
The gallery is open year-round by appointment or by chance. Handmade glass by Jordana Korsen is available for purchase, and custom work is available by request.
